What’s in one capsule?

BODYGUARD Vaginal Probiotic is a food supplement containing a blend of four types of Lactobacillus live cultures (100 mg) and short-chain fructo-oligosaccharides, Actilight® (100 mg). The capsule is made of acid-resistant gelatin and is taken by mouth.

Ingredients: Probiotic blend (Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Lactobacillus Rhamnosus, Lactobacillus Reuteri, Lactobacillus Fermentum), Actilight fibers, filler: maltodextrin. Capsule composition: Gelatin, acid-resistant capsule.

What are the cultures in the blend?

All four belong to the Lactobacillus group: lactic acid bacteria found naturally in fermented foods such as yoghurt. Lactobacillus rhamnosus, reuteri and fermentum now also have new scientific names (Lacticaseibacillus rhamnosus, Limosilactobacillus reuteri and Limosilactobacillus fermentum). The label uses the older, more familiar names.

What is Actilight®?

Actilight® is the trade name for short-chain fructo-oligosaccharides (scFOS), a type of soluble fibre. In this product it is combined with the live cultures in the same capsule.

How to take it

• Dose: 1 capsule a day, with food. Swallow the capsule.
• Duration: at least 3 months, every day. One pack lasts 30 days, so a full course takes 3 packs.
• Storage: in a cool, dry place below 25 °C, out of reach of children.

Who should not take it?

• Pregnant or breastfeeding women.
• Vegetarians and vegans: the capsule is made of gelatin.
• If you have symptoms or a medical condition: this product does not replace a medical examination or treatment. Consult your doctor.
• If you take medication, especially antibiotics or immunosuppressants: consult your doctor before use.

Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.

Vaginal Probiotic contains 4 types of Lactobacillus. Pre+Pro Biotic contains 8 types of cultures, including Streptococcus thermophilus and Lactobacillus bulgaricus. Both contain 100 mg of Actilight® fibre.
